Hello All
I installed my gascolator inboard of the bottom engine mount on left
side. The murphy exhaust pipes can be directed toward the centre or straight
back. If straight back will the fumes come up in the window? If directed
toward to the centre they will be on about a 45* angle.Being close to the
gascolator either way I will wrap the pipes or may even build a shroud
around the gascolator and run a scat tube to it.
All comments apreciated.
Thanks
Murray

Hi Murray !
Don't forget to add the extentions to the end of the pipes -
they DO help with noise & fumes ... never had a problem with
fumes coming in the window, though, with any pipe position.
Be careful - don't wrap the pipes if at all possible !!
Water accumulates under the wrap, and heat increases - result is
that the pipe gets eaten through quickly !! Not so much of a
problem with stainless, but I know of iron pipes that disappeared
within a couple of years !!!!
Shroud around the gascolator, and a scat tube for cool air
is a "Really Good Idea"(tm) !!! Suspect almost everybody should
do this !! Also, don't forget 'blast tubes' to cool the mags ...
