And more in the pipeline! There is an item in the latest AVflash saying
Bombardier is setting up a company to do something about the decades old
technology in todays engines (a thinly veiled reference to the Lycosaurous),
says they have developed something already.........

With the precision job Bombardier has done with the 912 (Rotax) we may get
something as smooth for the higher HP range, they said the new engines would be
aimed at the mainstream GA market and not compete with the present Rotax lineup.

The announcement is supposed to be made at Oshkosh.

After flying behind a 912 for about 5 years, I must have said a hundred times: "if Rotax ever makes a 200 h.p. engine, everyone else can bid farewell to the experimental market." I have no experience at all with their 2 strokes, but man can I brag about that 912! If all they do is expand it to 6 cylinders, think what a great engine that would be.

Hi Jim

The article I saw said the new engine(s) would be done by a new company, not
Rotax. Of course I can't imagine that they would not use the knowledge base
existing at Rotax. It will be interesting to hear the whole story when it
breaks.
