Find a local florist. Setup to have them send her flowers ever3-4 weeks. Until the plane is done. You don't have to worry about it, it'll just happen and you can claim "I was just thinking of you....."

Doing house work once in awhile helps but just got in crap today for
mixing a white with colors so banned to the shop. ;-)
Tell her she's lost weight and should go buy a new dress. Heck get some
matching shoes and purse as well.
