All the Murphy factory aircraft use the flush caps, and were passed
by Transport Canada !! This sounds like it might be just ONE individual
RAA AIR-ABA inspector on a personal crusade (it happens !!) ....
As long as the tanks have some effective method of venting, the choice
of method shouldn't matter. In any case, it wouldn't be too hard to drill
a hole in the flush cap & add an inverted "J" tube to it ....
I don't know about the Super venting arrangement - I thought that
the factory was recommending that ugly-center-of-the-cockpit overhead
vent in the crossover tube for all models now !!
I HAVE seen several builders adapting Cessna-style vents with
perforated
tubes inside the tank to prevent siphoning. These vents open under the
wing - a number of advantages, including rain protection, being in a high
pressure area ....
Perhaps some others could jump in here & tell us how they did it !!
Mike Fuller ??? Didn't you find a nifty fitting ??

As I've already purchased the flush ones from MAM, I may not be in
compliance. Does anyone know anything more on this regarding Transport
Canada (BobP)? Is there a solution? Furthermore, I've seen no reference
as to how the Super Rebel wing is to be vented. I was going to Pro-seal
the cap ring today so I guess I'll go to the beach instead (+36C).
