MAM has a leprechaun sale going on for the rest of march!!

"Luck of the Irish Sale"

With a name like Murphy, you have but to smile during March and Saint
Patrick's Day. With a name like Murphy Aircraft, you can smile or you can
put some green back where it belongs - in your pockets! The mischievous
spirit of the leprechaun has struck at Murphy Aircraft, creating a "pot of
gold" for you at the end of the rainbow.

Yes, to celebrate the luck of the Irish, Murphy Aircraft is dropping
the prices and keeping you in the green. But hurry, March doesn't last
forever, nor will this sale, so act today and call Colleen at 604-792-5855
to capture yourself a little piece of leprechaun spirit!

Kit Aircraft.................................Regular
Price...................................March's Price

Renegade Spirit...............................$ 15,000
USD..........................$ 12,750 USD
Murphy Rebel...................................$ 15,500
USD..........................$ 13,950 USD
Murphy Elite......................................$ 21,000
USD..........................$ 17,850 USD
Murphy Maverick...............................$ 13,500
USD..........................$ 11,475 USD
Hurry though, March comes but only once a year, and deals like these
even less!

Well, I bit the bullet and bought one of the MAM's pre assembled 1800 amphib
float kits. I took Wayne's comments to hart, about working for $8.00 an hour
to assemble them, then decided my time was worth more than that. I don't plan
on using them for another year but figured it was worth buying now at that
great price.

Maybe I'll miss building so much by then I'll be ready to go back to work in
the shop.

Bruce, what was the delivery timing? Ready to go or wait from factory
moving? Don't forget to take the wheel assemblies apart and get some method
of permalube to the axle bearings. Heard another method the other day of
putting a piece of PVC pipe across between the bearing mounts, with the ends
turned down in a lathe so they sit tightly in the opening in each wheel
half, so you are only filling the area between the tube and the axle and not
the entire wheel.

Wayne,
The floats are already made and MAM wants me to come get them (I'm in
Spokane, not a long drive) no later than four weeks. They had five sets
taking up room in their shop and wanted to move them out for more SR stuff
being shipped in. MAM has one set left if anyone one is ready.

I'll have to go back and read up in the archives when it's time to start
attaching them to the Rebel. I didn't not pay a lot of attention during the
plane construction as I had plenty on my plate at the time. I will be sure to
follow your advice and thanks again for your experience and input to this
endeavor.

That's great, Bruce, we need some more Rebels on floats
out here in the Northwest. You've got lots of time
before summer to get them ready to fly.

Another thing to watch for is which suspension pucks
they gave you. They might have it right by now, but
they didn't with mine just over a year ago.

The original pucks were too soft, which allowed the
suspension to bottom out too easily. They have new ones
now, and if they aren't installed in yours, I am sure
MAM will give you a set if you ask. When you're ready
to mount them on the plane, let us know on the list,
and we'll be happy to help you out. I still remember
and appreciate all the help I got from everyone.

Yes, looks like they went for an "opportunity strike".
Sure would be great if they got him, but I don't think
it will be that easy. I certainly do support the US and
Brits in what they are doing to try and rid this world
of terrorism.

Hi Walter,

I'll not mount the floats until next winter.
You will have to see my Rebel,
this summers at Arlington, on wheels. Tell
me more about the suspension
pucks. I'm sure I can still make request
from MAM. I still have to get a
seaplane rating.

It appears the war with Iraq has begun. I
hope it does not last long. It's
time for the Iraqi mad man to go. I support
our President and troops
entirely.

Keith, they went on sale over a month ago and a flyer was sent out to just
about every Rebel builder or even people that expressed an interest in MAM's
products. Was only five sets and Bruce says only one set left now. Pricing
completed was $18,500US and now only $14,900 US on these sets only.

You should have headed up there today Bruce! Border traffic may come to a
halt really quickly, especially seeing that our PM's not backing the
inevitable that's going to start come sun up in Iraq tomorrow morning.

Wayne,
The floats are already made and MAM wants me to come get them (I'm in
Spokane, not a long drive) no later than four weeks. They had five sets
taking up room in their shop and wanted to move them out for more SR
stuff
being shipped in. MAM has one set left if anyone one is ready.

I'll have to go back and read up in the archives when it's time to start
attaching them to the Rebel. I didn't not pay a lot of attention during
the
plane construction as I had plenty on my plate at the time. I will be
sure
to
follow your advice and thanks again for your experience and input to
this
endeavor.

Hi Walter,

I'll not mount the floats until next winter. You will have to see my Rebel,
this summers at Arlington, on wheels. Tell me more about the suspension
pucks. I'm sure I can still make request from MAM. I still have to get a
seaplane rating.

It appears the war with Iraq has begun. I hope it does not last long. It's
time for the Iraqi mad man to go. I support our President and troops
entirely.
