Would like some insight, pros&cons on Lyc. 0-320-E2D. Came out of a C-172. Or
a Web sight with the differences on the 0-320 engines.
Phil&Lisa Smith #460 N414D THANKS

You could try www.lycoming.textron.com . The O-320 "A" & "E" series engines
are low compression 140/150 HP. The O-320 E2D is 150 HP, at 2700 RPM, was
designed to use 80/87 avgas, has a 7.00:1 compression ratio, and has a
dynafocal mount. They us the 0-235 front bearing setup, that is they use
two separate bearings where the crankshaft leaves the engine, instead of the
one large bearimg used on some other models. They normally have Slick mags.
Besure to get the carburetor etc with it. I hope this is of some help.

Lonnie
