last night, and not too warm going to a local fly-in this morning (even with
full front and back seat heat on).

Subject: [rebel-builders] Everbrite test
OK guys (and gals ...) I just had four aluminum scuba tanks stripped and
polished during their hydro tests. I am going to coat them with the
everbrite
and subject them to salt water diving, bright sun, rough handling by
others,
bumps, scrapes, expansion and contraction due to filling and temperature
changes, etc. These are 6061 T-6, and have a slide on plastic tank boot to
help hold in moisture (tanks typically corrode under them).
If it holds up under such use, the floats should be a cake-walk. I'm also
doing
my Jeep Cherokee plastic bumper / side panels for a test of high speed
abrasion resistance in the Spring rainy season.
YES, it is scuba diving weather here ... warm water, blue sky Christmas
wishes from Sunny SW Florida!
