Thanks for the feedback about the blocks. I'll read it in a bit. As for
now, I've got another potential growth opportunity.

I took off fus 40 and went through steps 4 thru 9 of section 16,
overlapping the bottom skin (fus 40) onto SG13 with the 3 3/8" sticking
forward past the edge of fus 40. Then in step 10 two things happened.

One, I couldn't slide SG13 all the way forward since the corners of the
piece would hit against the tapering lower rolled corners before coming
into place. So I just fitted it on the outside to see how things would
line up. This brings me to the second problem.

According to step 10, the 3 3/8" line on SG13 is supposed to be flush
with the edge on fus 7, the front floor. My line ends up over an inch
ahead of the edge of fus 7. The way I have it, my front floor edge is
flush with the back edge of the rear carrythrough and the front of fus
40 is flush with the front edge of the rear carrythrough.

I've got a couple pics I'd like to upload to Wray or Mike or just plain
send them individually.

Getting late, which is nothing new,
Dan

I had to taper the front of both SG-13 & SG-7.

I just looked at my installation and it appears that my line is about 2"
ahead of the edge of Fus-7

The way I have it, my front floor edge is
flush with the back edge of the rear carrythrough and the front of fus
40 is flush with the front edge of the rear carrythrough.
My Fus-7 & 40 ended up in the same locations as yours. Figure - 17 is a
good reference for where every thing should end up. I did a new
installation and not a retrofit therefore I did not have any previosly
drilled holes to use as guides as called for in step 10. Also, Since I did
not install the bungee gear brackets, the prepunched holes in Fus-40 did not
line up with any of my channels or the carrythroughs. I ended up reversing
Fus-40 and drilling new holes.

I hope that this is of some help. As Allister says "It's not easy drawing
pictures with words"

Lonnie

I've also placed 2 photos from Dan Morehouse regarding Spring Gear SG-13
Placement at the following URL...

http://www.dcsol.com/murphy-rebel/galle ... /page2.htm

Here are descriptions to go with each photo...

Fus40fus7.jpg just shows the orientation of these two pieces. I had
questioned
it since things didn't seem to be working out.

In SG13.jpg, the flash washed out the word 'bolt'. The line is the 3 3/8"
line.
The vertical rivet line is centered on the rear carrythrough. The upper
right
hand corner apparently needs to be trimmed to fit inside the rolled corner.
