I've just finished repairing a set of 1800 Amphib floats that I originally
built in 1996.... with Sikaflex 1A. They've never leaked a drop in their
lift time (well up until a little 100 MPH landing on the water opened up a
compartment a couple years ago) and they aren't gonna leak again (unless
someone lands the same way again)

1A is about the only variant that gives the 6 or 7 hours work time that you
need to get a side skin riveted on by yourself, and still be able to fillet
the seams with a popcycle stick.

Jason.. I use limestone (because that is usually in stock for the stone
masons) and sometimes gray/aluminum if I need to order it in. Both colours
hide well. I get mine through United Rental.

Not to throw a wrench in things, but I (and many of the RV-10 folks)
used Sika Flex 292UV black ($18.99 per tube) along with Sika 209
primer ($50.99 per bottle). They make other variants, but this has
the UV protection and seemed to be best for the application..... I
got mine from Jamestown Distributers in the US...
