Hi Jesse !
i open my bottom doors every oil change ! i have a quick drain
valve on the oil tank, and a tube running from it to the rear,
fastened to the bottom of the fuselage aft of the firewall.
The tube means I don't have to carry or fool with a hose
for oil changes.
The 4 door cowl is THE best way to go ! Birds can build
nests while you have lunch - just pull the wire out, and
have a peek, and check the oil while you're there !!

Jesse build it with 4 easily opened doors and you will maintain that
engine like a top. Make the access any more difficult and the
pre-flight, "curiosity inspections", etc come to a halt. Amazing what
gets neglected behind the two piece speed cowling and it's numerous
screws/camlocks or what ever means you hold it on with, it's just not
convenient (especially at a dock!)
JMHO..
