SR 3500 Upgrade Kit

Post by Don Boardman » Fri Feb 17, 2012 8:48 pm

Hi All,

Just thought I'd pass along some feed back on the SR 3500 upgrade kit.
I received the upgrade kit for the Tail Feathers and Wing today.
I have inventoried all the parts and reviewed the instructions.
My first impression is that Murphy has done a fine job. Beefy is a word that
comes to mind, along with "quite doable". My tail sections' structures
where/are complete but the skins are not installed. Not having the skins
installed is an advantage but even with skins installed the job doesn't look
to bad. I have a fast build 2500 wing. In it's state of semi completion as
delivered from Murphy the modifications once again seem straight forward.

No information on the fuselage mods as I will be getting a fast build 3500
fuselage when my turn comes.

If you are on the fence about upgrading you might get Murphy to send you a
copy of the instructions which give a very clear view of what's involved.
Again I have only seen the tail and wing instructions.

Happy Building,
