I would highly recommend that as much as possible under the panel be completed prior to adding any "lumps" on the floor. (Including the pedals and elevator cabling) Also, as someone said earlier, make the control column removable so you can get back under the panel or at the firewall rear if required.

There are a number of places where forward thinking of future maintenance / repair possibilities allow access to be built in during construction. An example is our marker beacon antenna is on the fuselage bottom and held with nuts from the inside. Now covered with the inner floor there are 3 #40 holes drilled in the inner floor over those nuts. If access for antenna removal is ever required I know just where to open up for nut driver access.
