firewall angle and fitting

Post by bransom » Sun Feb 19, 2012 4:56 pm

I'm trying to fit the firewall with side panels (Fus-11 L&R) and floor skin
(Fus-7). The flexibility of the firewall allows for a pretty variable
result here. I want to add some stiffeners to the firewall so I know it is
flat as I set the firewall angle and final length of the floor skin.

One possibility is to go ahead and cut the witches hat lengths and cleco
them on now. As well I could spring clamp on some ST-31 or similar.

Have others found this a good idea? I can't imagine any problems from
cutting and clecoing the witches hat on at time of firewall fitting
...appreciate any advice on that approach too.
Thanks,
-Ben/ 496R
