Could some one tell me the dimension from fire wall to instrument panel ??
Want to check on my fuselage since it is partially built by someone else.
Cant tell if it was cut back or not.

Mike,

The distance from the forward edge of the firewall flange to aft edge of
main carry through (door post) is 22 inches when measured along the riveted
overlap between the upper corner wrap and the nose side panel. 25 inches at
the bottom corner wrap to side panel overlap. If the firewall is cut back,
these dimensions would be 3 inches less I believe ( I think it is 3 inches
even, but I've never cut one back and don't ever intend to).

Mike,

My firewall has been moved aft 3" and the panel ends cut off and rebent per
Murphy instructions. I installed the stainless steel firewall with the tabs
facing aft. I have 12.5 inches between the panel and the firewall. The
distance from the front of the door post to the firewall is `17.5 inches.
