[rebel-builders] Fw: Nimpo Lake, BC... Fly-in Date Change

Yeah, that is one great fly-in that I have attended a couple times now, and don't like to miss. I will have some juggling to do this summer though, with some of my planned trips (Arlington, Manitoba, etc), so not sure yet how these will all work out. Nimpo is primarily a floatplane fly-in, but there is a nice little dirt strip (perfect for the Rebel or Moose on wheels) close to the main events hangar and docks. So lots of planes come in on wheels (172s, etc.), too. Fuel for the wheeled planes is at Anahim Lake, about 10 miles away.

I was asked to confirm the dates for the BC Floatplane Shindig
in July, and
at the time it was correct & confirmed... and printed on the
supercubs.org
calendar.

Well, we've been trying to avoid conflict with a couple other
fly-ins & the
local stampede weekend for several years. The last director
meeting
(conf-call) we decided it best to permanently change the BCFP
meet/party to
the third weekend of July. This year that makes it the 19th &
20th. (Party
always starts on Friday tho)

So if you have any inclination to attend, or know someone who
may come,
please change the dates on your shiney new calendar.

I could post all the cool stuff that happens here during the
shindig, but in
the interest of crowd control, I'll just say "It's definitely
worth coming".
