G'day Wayne
On another topic, what do you think about putting nyloc nuts on the aileron
hinge bolts, instead of the
castle headed nuts and split pins?

: They get weirder all the time Mike. I knew they'd started nailing
Ontarian's
: about the gear leg bolts, but seat belt attachments...give me a #*($()!
: break! As for the cable to the mixer in the back...those will NEVER rotate
: either. Funny I can legally use a nytrol nut on a bearing'd pulley (that
may
: very well seize and make the bolt rotate), but I can't use it on a
properly
: installed leg bolt, or especially a shock strut bolt that will never
rotate.
: IF the gear bolts would rotate and loosen the nut themselves, it would
: surely cut my change over times to floats for me in the spring...but I
: always have to remove them manually for some reason! LOL

I've seen a handful that have cheated there...and haven't seen any loose
ones yet... BUT it is one place that I definitely use a castle nut and
cotter pin.. no matter how much fun it is putting the pins in.
