Climb rates

Ken was asking about climb rates over on the Ramble list ...

We spent a great afternoon out at Brampton, washing,
waxing, and tweaking XWI, getting her ready to Ramble.....

Brian Cross came out to fly his Rebel, and entertained
us for an hour or so, doing 3 - 4 minute circuits ! He was
climbing so fast, he turned crosswind before he reached the
end of the ~3,000 ft. runway !! That O-320 with straight
pipes has a distictive bark - to warn the RV's & Super Cubs
to look out for the Rebel !!! :-)

Tomorrow, if I can get away, it's my turn to play !

And after about 6:30 pm, it's the FIRST NIGHT of Monday
night BBQ's at Brampton RAA, north end of the airport -
come on over, fly or drive ! There's be burgers & dogs,
and some 'brown pop' for those not flying .... ;-) :-)
These BBQ's will be on every Monday, all summer long.

Don't miss the Ramble Kick-Off BBQ on July 2nd !
And come on Rambling with us for at least a day or 2 !!!
There'll be a GREAT party in Winnipeg (Lyncrest) !
