[rebel-builders] Elite - SR/Moose Drooped Wing tips

Post by michael betti » Sun Feb 19, 2012 12:04 pm

Bob,
Hurry up and finish that project, I am interested in hearing your
about your flights. I think that is the case wih my tips too, but I am
out of town and can't look at it for a couple days. I didn't mess with
them, I refuse to do any unnecessary glass work.
Mike

Mike,

Nice to see the fly-over picture of your Elite on your website ...
very
nice.

Yesterday I was fitting the extended drooped tips, and discovered the
chord
of the drooped tip is about an inch or so longer then the cord of my
Elite
wing w/ aileron. My thoughts are to remove trailing edge material
from the
tip between where the trailing edge of the aileron is and the existing
outboard trailing tip. And then glass what's left back together. Did
you
run into this same issue ?? Is the chord on the Elite smaller then on
the
SR and Moose? ... thought they were the same.

Cheers, Bob 612e
