Hay Robert:

Glad to see that someone else is putting in the Chelton system. Hope that you did NOT get caught up in the mess with D2A. WE DID!! ! ! !
Just got our system last week and getting ready to start the install. We're putting in the two screen Chelton, Free Flight WASS GPS, two SL 30's, PS Engineering audio panel, WX -500, TCAS, TruTrak auto pilot, ect. Some say it's over kill but, when laying out the panel and figuring the costs for what was wanted, it was
cheaper putting in the Chelton and you get a lot more bang for the buck. That was before D2A closed and we had to REBUY the units from Chelton.
Still worked out cheaper. Can't wait to use it. Won't be long, I hope.

Subject: [rebel-builders] Avionics and Antennas

I am looking for help and advise on antenna selection and location for a Murphy Moose . It will be equipped with the following goodies. 2- Chelton systems, 2 - 430's, 2- comm, 2-Nav, 1-TAS, 1- WX500 storm scope, 2- VOR & glide scope, ELT and 1-ADI Tru-Trac auto pilot. There will be 12 -14 antennas involved or possibly less if sharing is feasible involving splitters?? I have also been told wing tip antennas are not as good as conventional mount. If there is anyone with previous similar experience I would appreciate comments and recommendations. Thanks. - Bob J
