Yes Rick the larger rivets are correct! If you have a set of number bits,
test drill to find the size for a tight fit. 5/32 isn't it. (I think it's
#21 but my mind is foggy today!) Make sure the 2 rivets at each end of the
strut are turned 90 degrees to each other. I have seen a couple that were
done with both rivets parrallel to each other and this obviously weakens the
strut for shear pull out. (Although the strut is usualy in compression
anyway during positive manovers)

Sounds like you are geting there,

Subject: stab strut braces

Hello,
Does anyone know which size rivits are used for the stab struts. The
manual says to drill # 30 holes and put 1/8 solid rivits in. (step 7 of
the stab installsation instructions) But the rivits listed are MS
2047-516 which is a 5/32 diameter rivit. Could someone please clarify
wheather it is ok to drill for the 5/32 rivits or should 1/8 dia be
used. The kit supplies 5/32 dia.
Thanks,
Rick D
