SR troubles - do they affect the Rebel?

Post by Scott Hibbs » Fri Feb 17, 2012 5:45 pm

I found this SR bulletin on the support page (those rebel builders not
signed up should do so. Even though there is not a ton of info there,
they are planning to beef it up).

March 15, 2000
Chilliwack, British Columbia
Attention: Super Rebel
Subject: SR-2500 SERVICE LETTER
NOTIFICATION OF IMPENDING LANDING GEAR MODIFICATION

During an extensive strip down of Super Rebel Proto-type
number one, cracking of the 90 degree lugs of carry throughs "2" and
"3" which form the undercarriage "Box", was discovered. This appears to
be caused by drag loads and results in minor gear movement during
braking.

Has anyone seen this type of cracking on the Rebel. If there was a big
discussion on this that I missed, let me know and I will go dig through
the digest.
