hi all
well since no one is talking i will ask a question, according to the eaa
book tony bingelis on engines the cooling air intake size is the horsepower
multiplied by .35,
so my 160 hp lycoming needs 160 x .35 = 56 in square so 24 sq inches each
side,
well the nose bowl from spruce m-3bc (or some number like that) has an area
of 43 x 2 + 86 inc square (approx) , so why is no one using smaller openings
and reducing the drag a little bit,
i am think of filling in my openings now
