I'd sure feel bad if that unit did work well and last you a long time.
It is about one-tenth what I paid for my HVLP rig!
Good luck!

At that price, you can hardly go wrong !! You only have

Hi Brad: For that kind of money it sure is worth a try. I found that any
quality paint job is more in the skill of the painter then the equipment as
a good painter generally knows how to compensate for less then perfect
equipment. A little off topic but when did you get your kit and how far
along are you, also what engine have you decided on? I am curious as it is
only three later then the one I have. Thanks. - Bob J - Rebel 192/731

[rebel-builders] HVLP Sprayers
Bob,
Bought it two years ago from a gentleman in Texas that had started
but then stored it for a lot of years.
Wings and tail feathers ready for pre close inspec. Fuselage structure and
skin is almost
complete up to the firewall. (Seems like some months I go in reverse).
I'm planning on installing an O-320 but we'll see what's available next year
when I
am at that point.

[rebel-builders] HVLP Sprayers
I agree completely. Although the American made guns such as Lexaire are
nice, they don't impress me as being worth over $300. just for the gun.
I really like the turbine powered units but I would not recommend the
cheap units unless they have at least a 10amp rating. Note that the
"latest greatest" units are now 3 stage turbines (high end central
vacuums) that draw I believe 12 amps. I might get a chance to look at
the Princess Auto unit tomorrow but they have advertised it a number of
times at slightly over $100. There is little doubt that the turbine hvlp
saved me a few hundred dollars in wasted paint and it was relatively
forgiving and easy to use. Never had a single drop of water come out of
the gun.
