I have seen on some airplanes a Rebel logo with maple leaf. Is this some sort of logo the MAM used? I don't really see this logo on MAM's site anywhere, but I do like it!
This brings me to ask, is the Elite a close enought relative of the Rebel that it's actually considered a Rebel or Rebel Elite? Maybe just wishfull thinking. I like the names of MAM's planes, Rebel, Yukon, Maverick, Moose, etc........but I don't like the Elite name. Somewhere on my finished product the model name will appear whether in paint or sewed into the seats. Maybe it's just me but that's how I feel.
Any suggestions?

Mike ... I can relate with your thoughts about the name Elite ... it just
doesn't quite fit into the MAM line up does it. Heh, here's an idea ...
lets start a grass roots campaign to rename the "Elite" ... hmmmmmm ... lets
see .... Yukon sounds pretty good to me !?!?! I think (and as history has
proven several times in my past ... that's often dangerous) .. MAM will soon
come out with the "Yukon" ... and likely will have some Yukon mods available
for the Elite. Hey, as goes the S/R to Moose ... so goeth the Elite to
Yukon. Will be interesting to see just exactly what does constitute the
"Yukon" ... and how much would be required to evolve an Elite into a
"Yukon".

Cheers, Bob 612e

The Yukon..for all intensive purposes...is the SR2500. You're not going to
convert your Elite to the Yukon.

Remember it's a homebuilt and you can name it anything YOU want.

Cheers,
Wayne

There are two versions of the Rebel decal available from Aircraft Spruce.
One with and one without the maple leaf. The one without the maple leaf is
available in left and right for your vertical stab.

Hi Mike !

The full, original name is: "Rebel Elite".... that is, a version
of the Rebel. Originally, just a tri-gear Rebel ... later made back
into a taildragger....
(Made the paperwork a lot easier - also, note: the serial numbers are
part of the Rebel series....)

Don't know about the Elite logo, but the factory used to send you
a set of 2 decals for the tail IF you sent them a colour photo of
your finished, painted Rebel - not available if it wasn't already
painted, though ! (Too many got 'lost' ! )

Actually, I don't mind the Elite logo ....

Anybody have any pictures of these? I've seen them in the past, but the new
catalog doesn't show them or does the website. When talking to Spruce they
said they are special order, I really don't think the guy knew what I was
talking about. I see they offer a logo catalog and he wasn't aware of it
either.
