That's why u don't have to fuse the wire to it!

You are right. I don't know what the heck I was thinking. That is the way
the previous owner described it to me and I just took it for face value.
There is a small terminal on the solenoid that completes the circuit and
activates it.

I saw the stinkin thing, but it just did nto click until after I was at
work
today.

Thanks for the response.

I decided to hook up power to my Rebel last night. I have a small portable
starter battery that I use for my RC stuff and starting cars in the winter
if
their battery is dead.

After connecting everything up, I flipped the master switch and nothing?

Does this solenoid need a certain amperage battery to toggle when turing the
master switch?

Main Solenoid

Uses ground so no live wires enter the circuit to the master switch and
back...to make it work. A proper Master solenoid picks up the + internally
from the battery terminal on one side of the case. Make sure you are
connecting to the right one. If unsure...put a meter on the small terminal
and then each big stud. The one that gives you a circuit is the large stud
that the battery gets connected to and the other large stud heads for your
starter solenoid and buss bar for the Circuit Breakers.

Buy the cheapest A/S you can find. It won't be accurate anyhow due to the
inability to find a good static point on the Rebel. All that matters if
reference to stall...number showing is incidental.

As for VOR...do you use it for anything these days?..other than listening to
Country and Western?

A/H - the offshore $359US versions from Aircraft Spruce seem to last just as
well as the RC Allens
