deburing

Hi group,
I been on break from the project since the EAA convention, getting back
on the project once again.
What is the trick or tool for deburing those rivet holes in the 2"
carrythroughs, can't get to the inside?
Thanks,
Mike Betti

Hello Mike:

The good news is: that there is a two-way deburring tool, Part Number TD 004
at Aircraft Tool Supply http://www.aircraft-tool.com/shop/main.htm. I am
sure other suppliers stock this item. Here is a direct link to the ecatalog
page: http://www.aircraft-tool.com/shop/searc ... x?PageNo=2

I use these in 1/8 and 3/16. I found that chucking one of these baby's in an
electric drill gets a bit aggressive. For ME, the safest way is to use them
by hand with a couple of twists of the fingers. A bit tedious, but well
worth the effort. I have used them to debur inside of my carrythroughs,
uprights, torque tubes, floor channels and many, many other places where
blind deburring is required.

The bad news is: that they are VERY, VERY expensive.

The good news is: that Wayne's suggestion is simple and cheap.

1/4 Peso worth.

Mike,
The same tool is available from McMaster-Carr Supply Co. for about $10
less, but it's still pricey. McMaster is an industrial hardware
supplier, but they will sell to us commoners. www.mcmaster.com It's a
great website!

Thanks all,
I used the file trick Wayne mentioned but now I have the crush spacers in
the ends and would like to debur through the drilled rivet hole.
