Yes a few guys have gone with all solid to the extent possible. I suspect
more for personal preference and looks than for strength. Not necessary from
a strength point on most parts. Some things like the wing spars are solid
on all.
As mentioned in previous posts you can fill the pulled to make them look
solid.
