Based on the answers to my previous engine questions the Rotax 912s seems
to be the favorite for a light weight installation.
I have suddenly found this offering and wonder if anyone has any experience
or insights as to what is being pitched.

As always thanks in advance,

Fuel Injected Rotax
Fuel Injected Rotax
Hi John !
It sounds like they are selling overhauled ex-military 914's, of
uncertain total time & history ....
Rotax designed the 912 from a clean sheet of paper, as a new engine
to meet modern market needs. I think that, if they could get the gains
these people claim for fuel injection, they would have done it !!!
The claim of 25 % more power plus 50 % better fuel economy strains
credulity ! ;-) :-)
While their engines might give more power, who will supply parts
and service over the years ?? The 914 has not had a great record for
durability - that's a big reason why Rotax came out with the 912-S.....
people wanted a bit more power, without the maintenance and
reliability headaches of the turbo.
FWIW, my choice is still the 912-S ! :-)

Howdy Bob,
Thanks for the reply, I thought it sounded a little too "pie in the sky".

Fuel Injected Rotax
I found it really curious that they didn't give any actual horsepower
numbers that I could find on their site but I like the look of that little
turbine.
