Acetone, and even more so MEK, are absorbed through the skin. I suggest
you use Invisible Gloves (available from ACS) as well as nitrile gloves.
Also, be sure the cartridges for your respirator are rated for acetone
and MEK. After all, you only have one liver to give for your airplane.
These plus a well ventilated area will minimize the risk.
