Sure add to the pressure! LOL!!

Prop's on, tail feathers are on, wings are washed and in place on saw horses
to be lifted and attached first thing in the am. Fairings, a cowling, fuel
and paperwork....and into the wild blue yonder!

Subject: Reminder - THIS Sunday, June 5th - Builders Visit

Hi everyone !

Re-posting this as a reminder !

Once again, Jim Cole has offered to host a June Builders Visit -
as a fly-in/drive-in event. This year the date is Sunday, June 5th,
from about 11 am to 4 pm. Come on along, socialize, and check
out Jim's progress on the Moose !

The location is Tally-Ho Field, just north-east of Alliston. You
will find road and air maps at: http://www.tally-ho.to

For those flying, we'll use 123.2 as the frequency and the r
unway
slopes uphill to the east so we usually land east bound and take off
west bound. The hydro wires along the road to the east are underground,
so there's nothing to worry about there. This is one of the smoothest
grass strips in Ontario, so amphibs would be fine.

Jim has offered to cook up Beef on a Bun, from the BBQ, to go
with the salad he will also prepare !! Anna & I will bring coffee
& donuts, as usual. Jim would really appreciate it if you could
drop him an RSVP note to confirm you are coming, directly at:
Jim Cole <jcole@rangroup.com>
This will help him to plan for the roast(s) ahead of time ...

We've had a variety of airplanes over the last couple of years -
not
just Rebels, but it would be nice to see a few more. Eveyone is welcome !
If your airplane isn't finished yet, or the weather looks bad, please jump
in
the car and drive up - we'd love to see you all again !

These fly-ins have always been great social occasions -
hope to see all of you there, rain or shine !!!

Thanks again, Jim !!!

Reminder - THIS Sunday, June 5th - Builders Visit

Post by Jim Cole » Sat Feb 18, 2012 10:35 am

Hi Paul, yes we do have the odd certified aircraft - we don't
discriminate do we guys!!!

I actually fly an Aeronca Chief from the field - but always taking off
west bound - only 65 horses.
What do you fly?

BTW - this is the latest from Environment Canada

"Sunny. Increasing cloudiness in the afternoon with 40 percent chance of
showers in the afternoon and evening. Risk of a thunderstorm. Fog
patches dissipating in the morning. High 30. UV index 8 or very high."

Cheers
Jim
