the Manual

Post by Wray Thompson » Fri Feb 17, 2012 5:26 pm

Ken I added the strut attach portion of my manual to my web page. The first
part of
it seems to detail the install of the wing to the fus. Let me know if this
doesn't
give you what you need and i'll look around a bit more. Go to my manual and
at the
bottom of the TOC there's a pointer to the strut install. ...Wray

Good Evening all

I was wondering if anyone has a section in their Rebel manual that deals
with
attaching the wings or installing the filler piece between the fuselage
and the
flaperons. My manual has a couple of pages on installing the struts but
nothing
on installing the wings to the fuselage or what bolts to use.

I can't seem to find anything about the filler piece that goes between the
fuselage and the inboard end of the flaperon either. More of the Murphy
challenge or am I missing some pages?

thanks
Ken

the Manual

Thanks to Ken I have added the portion of the FUS manual that MAM just sent him to my
online manual. Bottom of TOC

Thank you. That covers what I needed.
MAM also sent me a 2 megabyte excerpt from the newer (06/98) fuselage manual
that now includes section 12.29 (Fairing Box Install) which covers the other
item that I was looking for. Now have both my questions answered and will only
have to remove a few dozen rivets this time.

Interestingly it looks like the newer manual has expanded on at least a couple
of areas compared to my circa 1992 edition. Also a few more diagrams and
integration of the float attachment instructions and such. And I notice that it
now shows a section of ST-31 U channel being used to tie the two top engine
mounts together across the firewall. The bulletin didn't really specify what
kind of channel to use. Wish MAM would post the newest version of the manuals on
line. It would save me some aggravation, as has the parts of yours that you have
on line.

thanks
Ken
