First a thank you to those that sugested using an abrasive wheel in a
dremel to trim plexiglass. A 1.25" re-inforced abrasive wheel it works
very nicely. It partially melts its way through and worked fine freehand.
I did not have much luck cutting fibreglass like that as the disks wore
out too quickly. However a little 3/4" diamond cutting wheel cuts
through fibreglass wing tips very nicely. Then a belt sander for touch
ups. The disks I used are part 3410286 from Princess Auto. The package
has two disks plus a mandrel and cost something like cdn$5. last time
they were on sale.
