light props and carb ice

Post by bransom » Sat Feb 18, 2012 9:35 am

Hi all,
Just bumped across a good little article about carb ice, this in particular
about it bringing down a plane with an auto conversion (corvair) and light
weight prop. One point of the article is that the low inertia props can
result in absolutely no sputtering warning of impending engine failure. With
more folks here looking to the Prince Prop, I thought I'd bring this up as a
reminder. If interested in the article: http://www.experimental-
