Next Rebel Builders Meeting - Sunday Sept. 19th

It's that time again !!! This coming SUNDAY !!!

The next Rebel Builders of Ontario Meeting is SUNDAY, Sept. 19th,
at 1:00 pm. at the RAA-TR HANGAR at the far north end of Brampton Airport.

We have to meet in the HANGAR because the clubhouse BURNED DOWN
last month !! Bring your own chairs, and we may have to work around
any airplanes that are in the hangar .... those comfortable old
couches are gone forever. :-(

It has been suggested that we have a 'New Clubhouse Donations
Jar' for the meeting - a Twoney or 2 would sure help, as the RAA-TR
had no insurance.

We're going to continue the new format for this meeting,
with individual 'forums' on each kit type, with Q & A, instead of just
one session. These forums will be ~10-15 minute 'mini-seminars' on the
different kits. We have a couple of experienced builders who
will be leading sessions on the Rebel (Ken), and the Moose (Peter -
- & maybe Monica). We're hoping our key Elite expert (Jack) will make
it to this meeting, but some other Elite'ist' might want to jump in,
and there's room for a Maverick or Renegade section, too, if we have
enough interest....

Please put on your thinking caps & bring your 'subjects'...
It has been suggested that we pick key topics for each meeting,
far enough ahead that builders can round up articles, photos, and
pieces to show - soooooo .... we need YOUR suggestions for TOPICS
for future meetings. If the 'type forum' idea works out, these
topics will go to the forum leaders.

We won't likely see Angus McKenzie this time - he and
Jennifer are heading up to the Arctic, across to BC, and back !
Maybe John Goris, one of the latest Moose builders, will be here, though.
The McKenzie STOL kits are now available for the Super Rebel/Moose
(about $3,800 CDN) - get your orders in ...
(The USD gets about a 35% discount - and changes almost daily !)
(The McKenzie STOL kit for the Rebel/Elite is still only $2,800 CDN. )
Wayne O'Shea will fly down with some goodies for us to buy
- if the weather's good !

Maybe Dave Fife will be coming, hopefully bringing
some wing & tail tips for his long-patient customers ! ;-)

We REALLY hope the weather will be good, so we can see a
bunch of "Fly-In" Rebels/Elites/Meeses/whatevers !! This looks
like the best weekend for a long time - there's even a chance that
Tom Inglis will fly in with his 912 Rebel, on his way home from
Ottawa ! We also hope to see a couple of drive-in Elite builders
from south of the border- Norm & Elise Isler will be nearby...

If you drive, you can join us for pizza & beer afterward !! ;-)

Keep working on that Rebel, 'cause Rebel Ramble 2005 is
coming ! We're wide open to suggestions - where will it be this
time - West, East, or North ??? :-)

We'll also have some new guests & Rebel builders, and another draw
for Rebel T-Shirts, or Rebel crests, or some new Rebel hats etc. ....
