I just posted a file named "CarbDrainPlugSafetyWireLabeled.jpg" to "113
- S?M Fuel Systems."

This picture has the M-14P carb jet "plug" as well as the carb drain
plug clearly labeled. As I mentioned in a previous post, for major
safety reasons, one should safety wire the drain plug. Once again, the
drain plug is aft and slightly down from the "jet" plug.

f, I performed this mod earlier this week on my M-14P. Plugging the jet
makes a HUGE, positive difference at low power settings. I've flown
twice now with the mod in place and am very pleased with the result.
Now there is no more "stumble," "gurgle" and "pause" before one has a
power response after having the engine at idle for any period of time.
Now I can land more "at ease" knowing if I have to go around there will
be "instant" power available.

I believe Jim makes the note that this mod may cause problems in cold
weather operation. I can't comment on that; I'd appreciate any specific
info if anyone has such. E.g. what type(s) of problems? How cold is
"cold?"
