I assume you are talking about the Rebel. There has been much
discussion about this in the past on the list. They do flex a lot
in this plane, mostly in the teleflex cable and retainer
assembly, but they still shouldn't go all the way to neutral. In
mine, I adjusted the cable so that on full flap the arm is tight
against the bottom of the retainer and the cable is tight with no
flex. There is still some flex elsewhere, but not as much. I know
they work, because I have tested my plane on glassy water
conditions with a big load with and without flaps, and there was
definitely a big difference.
