Since type A transmission fluid is no longer available, what is the
recomended replacement tramsmission fluid used for the amphibious pump?

Dale, I use Dextron III in everything. Float hydraulics and MAM brake
systems. 10 years and the stuff has never ate an O-ring!!

Amphibiouir float

Wayne,

Any suggestions on what to use for a hydraulic tank on the Amphibs? MAM has
yet to locate a source for one and I don't think it's on their priority list so
I'm not holding my breath in hopes I'll receive one soon.

Something as simple as a quart can from Acetone. Proseal a couple of fuel
tank fittings on the wide side for a couple compression fittings and a clear
tube for sight gauge. Another couple fittings for the inlet and outlet and
don't forget a small vent hole in the original lid.

That's probably 4 tank fittings you don't have though and something you
shouldn't have to do after forking out the $$'s. Get any of your other back
orders yet?

I have received most of the back orders for my floats, last I checked. I
called them often and was a squeaky wheel. Other than a few clevis pins and
miscellaneous nuts and bolts hardware that where just missing on the packing list
(you knew about those because you brought them to my attention) which I just
picked up locally because it was more convenient.

I take it MAM have not sent you anything from your back order since May?
Wheels, tubes, tires, tanks, hydraulic switch control and the likes?
