Hi guys,
Just finished up my elevator cables. Up elevator was no problem getting 25
degrees. I actually get a bit more. But down angle is something less than
25 degrees because the bolt on the lower elevator horn hits the saddle of
the rear mounting bracket before reaching 25 degrees of deflection. There
is no way I'm going to shave anything off of the mounting bracket, and
there's no way to use a different type of bolt to miss the bracket. I'm
inclined to just accept being a few degrees short of 25 degrees down
elevator. I don't do full deflection push-overs and I also don't use full
down elevator for stall recovery. Everybody else encounter the same thing?
