Does anyone have any comments on the Elites yaw stability with Amphibs
fitted ? My kit arrived last week, and I've just finished the inventory and
awaiting the initial visit from my engineering inspector (UK requirement) .
I think the Stab is the first bit to play with so I'd be interested to hear
(I haven't found any float Elite pictures with any sort of extra strakes )

The airplane has a yaw stability problem with floats. This is common with
most float planes. All of the extra stuff is to compensate for lack of
vertical fin area. The Moose amphibs are 600 lb. hanging under the airplane.
Without the fix, in other than calm air you are always on the controls,
stick and rudder are in constant motion.
