Clecos

Well I now understand when everyone kept saying that you will never have
enough clecos.

I'm really just getting started on a Moose and yes I never seem to have
enough. How many do I really need?
Has anyone found a supplier of used clecos? Who is the best supplier of
new? Does anyone want to clean up/out their shop?

Thanks
Jim

Jim
I just bought the cheapest ones I could find from Aircraft Tool Supply.
Apparently there are higher quality ones available but these were good
value I think. The wing seems to need the most. Suspect I acquired at
least 500 of 3/32 and 1/8 before I was done. Rumour has it they'll get
used again on the floats :) although I notice MAM has a sale on prebuilt
1800's... Unless you have help, one of those pneumatic cleco sqeezers
literally reduced the pain for me.

Clecos

Hello, everyone. I hope you all had a good Christmas, and I wish you all a
happy New Year.
My question:
Can someone who has been through the building process tell me how many
3/32" and 1/8" Clecos I will need to build the Murphy Rebel?

I have a coffee can full of 1/8 and a little less of 3/32. (I counted them last
week, and I have already forgotton how many I have. But I did write it on the
side of the coffee can!)
So, How many should I have???

Sort of like money, you can't have too many. One solution is to see if another builder in your area can trade with you so you both have the total needed at each stage but minimize the investment. I also suggest a half dozen each of 3/32 and 1/8 in the short size and four of the 1/4 size. Also six of the side grip style.
