Builders meeting - flying in!

Post by Wayne G. O'Shea » Fri Feb 17, 2012 10:33 pm

Problem is it gets dark waaaaaaay too early, now that we've played with the
darn clocks!!!!!!!!!!

Meeting starts at 1 and would have to be out of there by 4 to make sure I
got home before the sun was below the trees. Don't think that's a doable
thing considering the speaker, etc!!!

Really looking forward to the Builders meeting next week -
hope it will be a big turnout, as we've been given the whole HANGAR
for the meeting !! Don't forget to bring a chair ... :-)

(I'm sure Darryl will want to see a few Rebels !) ;-)

Builders meeting - flying in!

Probably not - but if you DRIVE down, you could bring along
a bunch of goodies for the others to buy !!! ;-) :-)
Also, if you drive, you can join us for pizza & beer after !! ;-)

Heard from Curt and Dave Fife - they WILL be flying in,
but in the Mooney - so they can get home IFR in the dark, before dawn !!
We'll be happy to see them, even without the Rebel !!! Hope Dave
is bringing some tips ! There are people waiting to order, too.

Builders meeting - flying in!

Post by Wayne G. O'Shea » Fri Feb 17, 2012 10:33 pm

I'll see what happens, as I told you Saturday I have an OVERLY full slate as
I am scrambling to get Ron's wheel skis done (hopefully by Wednesday night)
so he can fly in for installation before that's impossible to do on wheels,
need to remove two peoples floats to get them out of here on wheels before
the snow gets any deeper (mind you it wouldn't be the first time an airplane
was set on Leah's CH701's strap on skis WITHOUT the straps done up and flown
out of here!!), winterize Howard's Rebel before the water freezes in his
floats and so I can still get it outside for a run up after the oil change
and to fog his cylinders with storage spray, etc, etc, etc. and I also need
to do an annual on my own Rebel before the 12th if I plan to fly it! Then I
need to make an appointment to have my surgery from last fall redone
:>((((((

Pizza Hut sounds good though and will skip the beer :>)!! I think I gave Jeffrey Steenson, that's coming up all the way from Albuquerque NM!!!!!!!!!, good enough directions to get him from the Brampton Airport to HWY #400 so he can get up to see me and his new engine, but if I came down I could also make sure he really finds the highway!

Will "play out" the week, get some stuff together to bring just in case so it's ready to load and see what the weekend brings! Can we still drive to the door Bob?? or is the gate chained with two locks now??

Cheers,
Wayne
