Diesel Engine in Alaska

Post by Rhodes » Fri Feb 17, 2012 10:33 pm

A diesel engine in a private plane in Alaska would be a pain in the butt. Just getting avgas or mogas to your plane outside of the bigger towns is not like down south - usually at least a couple hours and then pouring out of a five gallon can. The stove oil/ diesel also costs the same as avgas ($3-$4 a gallon).
