Hi Guys
Got a question today about trimming the lower (and probably also Upper)
tank skin.
The manual tells you to trim the outer (tip) edge of the skin to 3/8"
from the outer most row (front to rear) of rivets, this means that one
of the rivets which attaches the leading edge skin to the spar will be
just about at the edge of the tank skin where it is sandwiched between
the leading edge skin & the spar.
Because the tank skin is so close to the rivet here this means there
will be a gap between the leading edge skin and the spar because the
rivet will not be able to pull it down. Am I missing something here or
should the skin be cut so that the cut edge of the tank skin is half way
between two rivets where the leading edge skin is riveted to the spar?
Is there another solution? What have you done with this?
Thanks
Dave R
