Sensenich Prop
Sensenich Prop
Brian, My new Sensenich has the identification "stamped" on the outer part of the hub between the blades. Yes you would have to remove the spinner to see it.-Bob Rebel "652"
Sensenich Prop
Hi Bob
Thanks very much. I am going to check tomorrow. It is raining today so I will wait tomorrow & let you know. Glad you Rebel is flying so well. Can you please tell me the how your Rebel is set up? ie. 160 HP, gear type, cowl, ignition or anything else you manage to do to get it to go so fast? Normal cruise conditions would be good as well i.e. 2450 or 2500 rpm speeds?
Thanks very much

Sensenich Prop
Hi Brian!
Seems like you <really> have the wrong prop on there. Did you buy new from Sensenich (through MAM). From what you are saying I would almost think you have a O-235 prop on there. That would be a 76 x 48 or 72 x 58 or similar. From what you are saying, that you are getting for static and cruise, sure seems to indicate this especially considering Howard has what I consider too fine a prop on his Amphib Rebel with the 150 HP - E2D in it and he easily sees 108 to 112 MPH on Floats with his 74DM7S8-0-52. Bob's is the same prop but a -56 and you can <just> wind his past readline at full throttle (and he shows a darn good cruise). If you really had a -58 on there you should see 130 MPH at about 2600 I would think.
A quick measure, even before you pop the spinner, is length. Maybe they sent you a 72 x 58 by mistake (amazing what an extra inch can do on each blade), or Murphy mixed up the props in Chilliwack if they came through there. Check quick before someone else puts scratches in the prop YOU were supposed to get!!! The box the prop came in is usually marked with the prop dimensions on it. Have a look at it before you even head for the airport. It may tell the tale right there!
Good Luck!

Hi Brian,
How have you adjusted to your new Sensenich prop after flying the Warp Drive? I remember you where not happy with your performance numbers. I was still contemplating a prop chose back then, before I bought the Sensenich. What is the verdict now that you have some time behind it?
