Long Weekend Fly-In

Hi everybody !

This might be the last chance for a fly 'n camp weekend before
winter sets in !!

We're heading up to the Saugeen Airport 2nd Annual Grass Roots
Fly In for Sept. 1st & 2nd - there's camping, and a beef BBQ and corn
roast on Saturday night. They will have a beer tent, and several old
steam engines. You can DRIVE in, too ! If all goes well, we'll fly up
in Rebel #001, and have a great couple of days !! (Who knows where
we might get to for Sunday night (Killarney ?) !! ;-) )

Saugeen airport is at *Hanover, Ontario*, about 45 miles north-west
of Brampton, and has 2 long paved runways, and a nice restaurant.
Bring your own tie-downs. (*Sometimes known as 'Hangover' ;-) )

WE wuz there !!! Where were you ???? You missed a GREAT evening
party on Saturday night !!! We flew FINR up later in the afternoon on
saturday - what a great flying Rebel ! ;-)
(We were hoping to find a buyer for it there ...)

We had 4 Rebels there, 6 Rebel Builders, and 3 of them brought
guitars !! We had 5 guitars on stage, lots of lively music, and a
pretty small crowd .... The idea was to stay overnight & party -
and WE did !!! :-) :-) Jack & Les and Ed Doyle kept the jokes
going until after midnight, with most of us rolling around on the
floor (literally ! ) .... (but that's another story ....)

Mark THIS ONE on the calendar for next year !! Hanover will
definitely become a regular event - after a stopover at the new
Rebel Haven Airport in Wingham, of course ! ;-)

Even Phil & Dave flew in, but not until Sunday .... good to
see them ! They happened to mention that your trip East involved a
LOT of driving .....
