You would only use it on floats and floors not you're tanks.
Phil&Lisa Smith #460R N414D Has anyone had any experience with a repair on a joint that has Sikoflex in it? My understanding is that the bond is extremely strong so that disassembly may involve causing more damage. Any truth to this?Peter.

Peter the bond may be very strong but most solvents including gas dissolve
Sikaflex. I've been using it to build my floats and would certainly
recommend it for a plane. It's very convenient to use and easy to clean up.
The bonding action should make joints stronger and I suspect that sikaflex
should help dampen vibrations.
