All,

If anyone has built Amphibious floats from Murphy for their REBEL, please
contact me and tell me how you got the washers in the shocks of the landing
gear to stay in. I have tried and tried and cannot get them to stop
squishing out. Is there a trick I should know about?
I have written to Wayne O Shea but have yet to hear from him. Any help would
be appreciated. Thanks.Brian.

Hi Brian,
I also have built the MAM amphibs. I've yet to fly them, I'm just now
rigging them. However, in the begining there was alot of talk of this very
problem, and when my kit was delivered it had the fix included. MAM just
dished the washers. I believe they got the idea from either Wayne or Jack
Wiebe. My kit also had a different bungee disk, different in color and it
takes fewer of them than the originals.
Sooo, give MAM a call, I'm sure they can get you the correct washers, or
if you have someway to press a dish shape into your present ones that will
work.

Thanks, the new rubber washers that MAM sent me are much stiffer than the
ones I had with the kit. They are a much lighter yellow that the ones I
originally had. Brian.
