G'day
Some time ago there was discussion on the group about an alternative method of mounting the brake master cylinders.
I have read the threads but have not been able to really understand just what is intended.
Could someone throw some more light on the mounting brackets, or perhaps post a 'photo

Re Rebel brakes
Re Rebel brakes
Hi Ian
With MAM's method of attaching the bottom of the master cylinder to the
rudder pedal, the brake pedal tilts forward quite a bit with full rudder
application.
If you mount the bottom of the master cylinder to a bracket that is
fixed to the floor, the brake pedal tends to remain vertical even with
full rudder applied. This can make it easier to apply full brake when
full rudder is applied. Your choice, but if you change it the floor
bracket must be substantial.

Re Rebel brakes
Ian
Have uploaded two photos to the Rebel, Systems section.
The actual brackets are 0.050 steel. The left bracket is mounted on an
oversize custom engine mount but it will give you an idea what I did.
The floor under the right bracket is re-inforced with aluminum doublers.
