I had great results with one of my Rebels with just 2 1/8" holes
in each filler neck, front & back, up high, under the lip of the cap.
Never had a problem - and I deliberately ran one side completely
dry in flight, even raising the wing to get it all out ! (Had to empty
the tank to change the sight guage tubing - that's why I strongly
recommend adding a small valve at the bottom of the guage -
makes this change sooo much easier !! ;-)
The addition of a cross tube between the top 2 sight guage
outlets is a bit of extra security ... (a good addition) ...
and the addition of an inverted J vent in the wing root fairing
is an extra - that I flew happily without ... JM experiences ...

I've yet to ever find any water in any of my tanks, lines or gascolator.
And I have flown in a few pretty strong rain storms. I have the ram
vents in my fuel caps. So if water does get in there, can't be a lot,
and don't know where it disappears to if I do get any.
