I'm installing the drooping wing tips on wings and wondering if the aileron spade modification http://www.pattersonaerosales.com/Aircr ... de_Mod.pdf is necessary. This adds another hinge point between the wing tip and the aileron to take stress of the outboard hinge on the wing's rear spar. But there is already a mod to reinforce the outboard hinge area http://www.pattersonaerosales.com/Aircr ... IP_MOD.pdf so I'm wondering if the aileron spade mod is really necessary. I appreciate any comments like "I didn't do the aileron spade mod and everything is ok" or "you'll have problems if you don't do it"?
Thanks,
Tim
